Our guesthouse in Orsières: the base camp of our rides. Views over the Alps, home cooking, a fully equipped workshop and a locked bike room.
We opened the Exo'base because our riders were sleeping far from the start, in hotels where the bike spends the night outside. It is the base camp of our rides: you sleep among riders who set off together the next morning, and the timings follow the bike.
A locked room, a workshop with a repair stand, tools and somewhere to wash. You leave in the morning with a clean, set-up bike, not a chain full of mud.
The Exo'bus leaves from here. No dawn drive, no parking to find: you come down for coffee and load the bike.
Christian lives here. Tomorrow's plan gets decided at the table, according to the weather and what the group feels like, and he knows every trail in the valley.
Simple, comfortable rooms with a view over the valley. The rate is the same everywhere: 50 CHF per person per night, whichever room you take.
For two, as a double bed or twin beds. A view of the Alps, and room for your gear. The most asked for.
For a family or a group of friends riding together, with room for everyone's kit.
The entire Exo'base for your group, with the kitchen, the terrace and the workshop. The format for trips and club outings.
You can take just the night and eat in the village, or take everything and think about nothing. Dinner is booked the day before or on arrival, and is served when the group comes back from the trail, not at 7 pm sharp.
And in the evening the table is set for those who come back late, heavy legs and a wide grin.
Guiding, shuttles, rental and lodging under one banner: one contact, one quote, and one less thing to organise.
You sleep on site, the Exo'bus leaves from here in the morning, and you come back in the evening without having touched your car all day.
The bike waits for you in the room, set to your size, with the protection. Nothing to load on the roof of the car.
The all-inclusive trip starts from here: the nights at the Exo'base, the shuttles, the guiding and the meals.
By train to Martigny, then Orsières on the Saint-Bernard line: the stop is a few minutes' walk away. By car on the A9, Martigny exit, then 25 minutes. Geneva and its airport are about 1 hr 30 away. Transfer from the station possible on request.
The val Ferret and the val d'Entremont, Verbier about thirty minutes away, the Grand-Saint-Bernard tunnel and Italy about twenty. Shops, a bakery and restaurants in the village.
One night before a shuttle day, two for a weekend, the whole week for a trip. We set the timings around your ride, not the other way round.
Mostly people riding with us: a shuttle day, a tour, a course or a trip. It is not a passing hotel but the base camp of our rides, which is what lets us keep a group feel and set the timings around the bike. So the simplest is to book your ride, then your room. And if you are riding in the valley without us, write to us and we will see.
Yes, and it is a good idea: arriving the evening before saves the early-morning drive, and staying the following night lets you finish the day quietly. Say so in your request.
The room, bed linen and towels, access to the bike room, the workshop, the washing machine and the parking. Homemade breakfast and dinner are optional and come on top of the night.
No, nothing is imposed. Many take breakfast, useful before a shuttle day, and eat in the village in the evening. Others take everything. Dinner is booked the day before or on arrival.
In the locked room, under cover and under key. The workshop with a stand and tools is at your disposal, as is a wash station.
Yes. The village, the valleys and the walking trails keep non-riders busy, and Verbier is about thirty minutes away.
Through the form on this page or by phone. We confirm availability, then agree the payment with you depending on the length of the stay.
On request: tell us when you book, with the animal and its size.
Book your date in the calendar, then your room: 50 CHF a night, a locked bike room, a workshop at your disposal, and the guide at the table in the evening.
