Back to Martigny
Meet in Martigny, the bikes go into the Exo'bus and we head east. The road follows the Rhône, the names on the signs get longer, and as you cross the Raspille, the river that separates the French-speaking Valais from the German-speaking one, you slip into another world: same canton, another language. You have no logistics to worry about, the van takes care of everything.
Moosalp and Jeizinen open the day with their alpine pastures and larch woods, on calm, rolling trails that leave you time to take in the scenery between two corners. Around Leuk, the sun beats down harder and the ground turns drier, for a distinctly different feel. Stalden and Turtmann keep a raw, authentic side, away from the crowds, while Gampel and Visp bring shaded forests and viewpoints over the Rhône valley.
Level 2/4: progressive trails, no committed sections, and the choice of cruising at the back or setting the pace up front. Four to five rotations later, you have over 4'000 m of descent on the counter. Your instructor, Swiss Cycling certified and still an active racer, tunes the day's menu to the weather, the group's level and the general mood: the ride stays fun and accessible from start to finish.
Ready for your shuttle day in the Upper Valais? Limited places: book yours and come discover the most unspoilt valleys of the canton.

Good news: we meet the Exo'bus at every rotation, so you can leave in it anything you don't need for the descent.
Required level
These days are graded by level, and this one is rated 2/4: flowing, progressive trails with no committed sections, perfect if you already ride a little on natural terrain or if you're discovering shuttles. All you need is to feel at ease on your bike and normal fitness, the van takes care of the climbing.
Already linking technical trails and after something more committed? Have a look at our level 3/4 shuttle days. If in doubt, write to us before signing up: we'll point you to the right day in two minutes.
Location and times
Meeting in the morning in Martigny, bikes loaded into the Exo'bus, and back to the starting point in the late afternoon. The exact place and time are confirmed with the practical details after registration.
Meals
Bring a packed lunch: depending on the programme, there isn't always somewhere to buy food along the way. Bottles can be refilled regularly, and a few snacks for the day never hurt. We meet the Exo'bus at every rotation and for the lunch break.
Climate
The Valais generally offers ideal riding conditions. If the weather is uncertain, the programme adapts and the spots are chosen the day before according to the forecast; if the day looks really bad, it's postponed at no cost to you.
Safety
Small group, a professional Swiss Cycling instructor who knows every corner of these trails, checked gear, a briefing before every descent, mandatory protection. The pace is the group's, and nobody is pushed to do what they don't feel.
Ready to ride?
Convinced? If your gear matches the programme, hit the registration button and book your spot: small group, limited places, and they go fast.
No date suits you, or you'd rather ride just with your group? We also run these days privately, on the date that suits you: request your private day.
Planning to come back several times this season? The Exo'Pass gives you ten shuttle days for the price of eight.
A doubt, a question? Write to us, we answer quickly.
-
How many riders per group?
Generally between six and ten riders for the day: enough for the atmosphere, few enough for the guide to keep an eye on everyone and for the rotations to stay smooth.
-
How do I know if level 2/4 is right for me?
This day is ridden on flowing, progressive trails with no committed sections: you just need to feel at ease on your bike on natural terrain, no shuttle experience required. Already linking technical trails and after something steeper and more committed? Have a look at our level 3/4 shuttle days.
-
Can I come with an e-bike?
Yes, e-bikes are welcome. What matters most: a full-suspension bike, 140 to 180 mm of travel, well serviced, with a charged battery. As the van does the climbing, MTBs and e-bikes ride together without any problem.
-
Can I rent a bike?
Yes, MTB or e-bike rental and protection are offered as options in the registration form. Give us your size, we take care of the rest.
-
I'm planning several days: is there a better rate?
Yes: with the Exo'Pass, you buy ten shuttle days and only pay for eight, so two days are on us. It's valid on all our shuttle days in the Valais, whatever the level, and takes two minutes to activate online.
-
Who is our guide?
A local professional MTB instructor and guide, Swiss Cycling certified, who has been running these shuttle days since 2010 and knows every trail like the back of his hand. He rides with you from the first to the last run, he doesn't just drive the van: an instructor first and foremost, he gladly shares riding tips during the day, whatever your level.
He is also an active racer, winner of major international enduro mountain bike races in recent seasons: you're in good hands.
-
What's the typical participant profile?
Riders aged 20 to 65, men and women, with very varied profiles. What matters: having the technical level required for the day and the desire to have a good time.
-
What kind of riding should I expect?
We like to vary the trails we ride as much as possible: routes are 99 % trails, flowing and progressive on 2/4 days, with four to five descents and up to 4'000 m of vertical drop.
-
Do I ride all day with all my gear?
No: we meet the Exo'bus at every rotation and for the lunch break, so you can leave your packed lunch and the non-essentials in it and ride with the minimum, protection included.
-
What if I get tired during the day?
You can easily skip a run and rest in the van for one rotation, then set off again with the group on the next one.
-
What gear do I need?
An enduro or all-mountain MTB or e-bike in good condition, with protection: helmet, knee pads, long-finger gloves, back protector. The full list is in the gear tab.
-
What happens in bad weather?
The spots are chosen the day before according to the forecast, and the Valais often has a dry valley to offer. If the day looks really bad, it's postponed at no cost to you.
-
No date suits me: can I book a private day?
Yes, at any time of the season. If no date suits you or if you want to ride just with friends, family or your club, we run this day privately: request your private day.
-
Can we book a private shuttle day, with or without a guide?
Yes, in both formats. With a guide, you get exactly what makes our open days good: he picks the trails according to the conditions and the group's level, he manages the group dynamic, which really matters when riders don't know each other and don't all have the same level, and he deals with whatever comes up, mechanicals as well as crashes. That's not for the participants to handle.
A guideless option exists, but the experience isn't the same: it's meant above all for locals who already know the trails well, along with the sensitive points on certain paths, slowing down, erosion or conflicts with other users. For everyone else, we recommend the guided day.
-
What insurance should I plan?
Every participant must be covered for accidents, including on a mountain bike, and hold all the cover needed for mountain biking in the mountains: accidents, personal liability, as well as search, rescue and evacuation costs, helicopter included. For participants coming from abroad, the cover must be valid in Switzerland.
Note: some insurers apply special clauses or even exclusions for bike-park and lift-served riding. Check this point with your insurer before signing up.

Christian
Chris has been organizing MTB shuttles in Valais since 2010, and he's been riding on two wheels since 1989: mountain biking is basically his whole life. A true local who knows the region like the back of his hand and will show you the most beautiful routes around, far from the beaten track.
An enduro enthusiast, Chris also competes alongside his work as a guide. This hands-on racing experience directly feeds into what he brings you on the trail: line choices, trail reading, and technical tips that always hit the mark.
A certified Swiss Cycling instructor, he also drops a few well-placed tips throughout the day to refine your riding, without ever overdoing it: here, the fun of riding always comes first. He always adapts the pace and trail choices to your group, so everyone gets the most out of it.

Paul Liogier
Enduro Maroc is top-notch, with impeccable organization, trails that are as challenging as they should be, and long, long, long descents in a magnificent setting. And for the foodies, the food is amazing.
It doesn't feel like an organized tour, but more like you're on the trails you would have chosen with your group of friends, with the shuttle as a bonus. Bravo, Christian!
-

Dami DLP

Daniela Loosli
We had a truly awesome week in Morocco with Chris. A big thank you for the top-notch organization and the superb trails. An excellent mix of biking and discovering the local culture over a delicious tajine or Moroccan tea.
This will surely not be our last bike trip with Chris. -

Moshik Zur
We just came back from a wonderful mountain biking experience with Chris. We stayed at his guesthouse, which has an incredible view of the Alps.
We started in Verbier with a day of coaching that brought us all to a new level of riding, thanks to Chris's insightful feedback.
The next day, we did shuttles in Valais and had a lot of fun.
Chris's enthusiasm for mountain biking is contagious.
As a coach, he understands your limits and helps you progress, while making you feel safe.
As a host, he provides a very attentive service to make your stay comfortable.
You won't find a better mountain biking experience than this! -

Great team, great bus, and great atmosphere. Chris knows all the best trails in Valais and is super professional (there's even a spare bike in the shuttle...). I've taken shuttles in many countries, and this Swiss experience is really a bargain for this quality of service.
Don't think twice: sign up for their next sessions.

Thank you Christian for your good humor, your humility and above all for the knowledge of your region! Even in... Breton weather?
You found us some beautiful, beautiful lines!
And thanks also to the driver, discreet but just as friendly and who takes care of our bikes! To be done again without a doubt!

Vincent Héritier
Chris and his team are top-notch, Chris knows Valais and its trails like the back of his hand, he is friendly and a good teacher when needed.
He's a top rider and takes great photos too. Sore eyes because the mountains are so beautiful, and sore arms too, because the trails are so tempting.
In short, pure happiness!
See you soon Chris, for sure ;) -

Daniel Fehl
I spent a week with Christian exploring the Valais region between Orsières and Zermatt.
It was an incredible experience: the mountain biking challenges, the mountain views, the mountain huts for lunch, and the homemade dinners.
Each day, we took a shuttle to a new location and used the lifts as much as possible, then the e-MTB for additional climbs.
He adapted the descents/traverses according to my abilities and desires. He knows the local trails, huts, and access points very well.
I end this week with gratitude, a sense of wonder at the Alps, and the desire to return for more adventures. -

Cédric Monnet
Awesome day!!! Whether you're a beginner or comfortable on the MTB trail, Chris guides you with great technical advice, patience and happiness..!!!
A great new feature at EXORIDE: e-MTB courses, with tips on how to handle these latest-generation machines and use them to their full potential on the terrain, downhill and.... uphill..!!!
Have fun with EXORIDE !!!
