Day 1 | Welcome to Tehran
We welcome you upon your arrival at Tehran airport, and accompany you to your comfortable hotel*** in order to assemble your bike and a first step in your immersion in the warm daily life of Iran.
Already charmed by your first cultural exchanges with this friendly population, we escape the bustle of the capital of 10 million inhabitants to take advantage of the surrounding reliefs for a first bike check on friendly and fun trails, offering a first-rate view of the immensity of Tehran.
In the evening, we will introduce you to our best addresses for a typical meal and you can enjoy delicious Zerishq polo or ghormeh sabzi drizzled with a creamy Dough.Distance: 10 km

Day 2 | Tehran, transfer to Mazandaran province
Totally won over by the welcome of the local population and your first spins in Iran, you will surely be the first to leave Tehran for a shuttle which will allow you to enjoy one last time the breathtaking view of the capital with a dominant starting point.
A magnificent rocky and playful ridge line which offers some great freeride options will take us to the outskirts of the city, before embarking on a first 5-hour road transfer towards more mountainous and rural regions.
You will be able to enjoy the incredible diversity of landscapes during the road and will take advantage of making a few stops for a good tea or to have your fill of koobideh. The real adventure begins!
Distance: 15 km

D-: 1,300 m

Day 3 | Kelardasht, transfer to the Caspian Sea
You are already very familiar with our essential "mule shuttles" when necessary. This big day is an opportunity for us to take advantage of these efficient natural 4x4s for a long climb in a spectacular and wild valley in the vicinity of Kelardasht, in order to reach the start of the day's trail at an altitude of 3,800m.
A good way to acclimatize to the altitude, but above all the opportunity to ride the most technical trail of this adventure. But what a treat to cross these little elusive hairpins and find the flow on this terrain which at first glance is hostile.
Arriving at the end of this extraordinary spot, we embark on a quick 2-hour car transfer to discover the coasts of the Caspian Sea, and the imposing surrounding mountains, including the dense and green forests contrast completely with the rocky and dry landscapes of the first days.
Iran is truly a land of contrasts and surprises!

Day 4 | Caspian Sea, transfer to Golestan
After a hearty breakfast of dates and carrot jam, we take advantage of the cars to climb 2,000m above the sea to rediscover the little sweetness of the day , in the form of a fast and fun single track through the forest. A few clearings will allow you to admire the sea, but be careful not to get too distracted to avoid going off the road at mach 2 on this magnificent, fast and risk-free path.
Arriving at the bottom of this unforgettable trail, we will show you a good address for a delicious homemade ice cream. Gelato in Italy is commonplace, but gelato in Iran is definitely worth putting on your to-do list.
We hit the road again to reach the province of Golestan, just as green and a favorite place for Iranians to spend their weekend. On the way, we will make a stopover for a delicious meal on a terrace by the water.

Day 5 | Golestan
Today you continue to live your best life on the trails of Iran, with a new car shuttle which advantageously saves us almost 2,000m of altitude difference.
A quick little portage/push of 300m allows us to discover the day's track. Still such a beautiful view of the Caspian Sea in the viewfinder, as the finishing point for our trail of the day. Between the two, a perfect alternation of lots of flow, a slight touch of technique, between atypical forest and green meadows, with a beautiful finish in a fast and playful natural half-pipe, before finishing in a village under surprised eyes and amused by the locals.
A real treat!
In the evening, we take advantage of the nightlife for a good restaurant, and interact with the population, always friendly and interested in our impressions of this beautiful country.

Day 6 | Golestan, transfer to Mazandaran
It's almost time to leave this Iranian-style "Côte d'Azur", but not without enjoying its green flow one last time. Today, it's a double portion of shuttles, with two car rotations to accumulate nearly 4,000m of D- in two runs.
Our loyal drivers will use the solid V8s of our pickups to optimize the ride time until exhaustion. It is therefore with absolute relaxation and without regret that we can take the road again to head towards Damavand.
Change of atmospheres. change of scenery... each detour once again reveals a beautiful variety of landscapes, until arriving at the foot of the imposing volcano which peaks at an altitude of 5,670m, making it the highest volcano in Asia.
In the evening, we will let you enjoy the natural hot water baths that Damavand spits out and which will do our bodies the greatest good, before the great challenge to come.
Distance: 38 km

D-: 4,000 m

Day 7 | Damavand
Today we find our faithful mules to ensure the ascent that awaits us, and not least, since the goal is to reach the base camp refuge at 4,200m in which we will spend the night.
We have the whole day to ride peacefully, relieved of our bikes and the luggage that goes up on the backs of mules. The landscape that unfolds as you climb, with a view overlooking the vast Lar natural reserve, is simply breathtaking.
Arriving at the refuge, you may even be lucky enough to see the lights of Tehran in the distance, where your Iranian adventure began a few days ago. On the other side, you can see the summit of Damavand and its sulfur fumaroles. What a spectacle!
Spending a night in such a refuge is an experience in itself, and the word adventure will take on its full meaning here.
Distance: 13 km
U+: 1,200 m (walking)
D-: 0 m

Day 8 | Damavand
Depending on your fitness level, your determination and the weather conditions, you have the possibility of getting up (very) early for a walk to the summit of Damavand.
If the access itself is easily passable on foot, it can only be done if you are completely in conditions compared to the high altitude, otherwise you can stay in the refuge and enjoy the sunrise.
From the refuge, we can now get on our bikes, to take on the 2,000m of D- which separate us from the valley. The trail that leads us down will call on all your dexterity to let yourself slide on this volcanic soil.
With the altitude decreasing and your mastery of this unusual terrain increasing, you will find a second wind to drift like a boss in each turn with a smile from ear to ear and find our friendly drivers who will accompany us totally exhausted for a good well-deserved shower and a solid meal at the restaurant.
Riding a volcano... check. Sleeping in a refuge at over 4,000m.... check. Gelato and cappuccino in Iran... check. Mule shuttling....check.
But more than anything, after these nine days of riding in Iran, you will have the joy of realizing that you have just grafted unforgettable memories, and the unexpected discovery of a culture and a country that is too little known .
We return to Tehran at the end of the day to return to our comfortable *** hotel and immerse ourselves in urban life.

Day 9 | Tehran, cultural and historical visit
Traveling to a distant country should not be limited to the sole pleasure of riding trails. Iran is a country of many facets, and the history of Persian culture is rich.
So today we are enjoying a tour of Tehran, accompanied by a brilliant English-speaking guide, who will not only share the oldest stories of kings and the creation of Persia , but will also return to the more contemporary history of the country.
Between visits to museums, shopping at the grand bazaar and a good table to enjoy one last time the delicious dishes that accompanied us throughout our adventure, this last cultural day will punctuate your stay will be wonderful and will allow you to say without fear that you now know Iran, and will easily understand what pushed us to open this exclusive trip to this destination.
Back at the hotel, all we have to do is pack the bikes and indulge in a meal in the busy streets and chaotic traffic, while reminiscing all the highlights of this journey.

Culture
Iran is a particularly mysterious and little-known country.
The welcome there is simply unbeatable, and meeting the people is extremely easy.
Many people speak English there.
The law that governs the country, however, imposes some recommendations to be observed.
In town, and outside of sport, the wearing of shorts, short clothes or clothes revealing too much skin or shape is prohibited, for both women and men.
In addition, women must cover their hair with a scarf.
In the mountains and during sporting activities, these rules are relaxed.
We are here to advise you throughout your stay, so no worries about these few rules.
Accommodation & food
During our stay, we will alternate between modern and comfortable *** hotels.
One night in a comfortable guest house.
One night in a comfortable dormitory of the Iranian Mountain Federation

Climate
The season in which we operate this program is rather dry and temperate, particularly around Tehran.
Along the Caspian Sea, the weather and temperatures are generally pleasant, but there may be a spell of rain depending on the currents and the clouds that remain stuck on the mountain range.
For these regions, the climate is rather temperate and pleasant.
The two days on Damavand can be much harsher, with possible temperatures below zero, especially if you reach the summit at 5,670m.
More specific equipment for the cold is essential.
Sécurity
Contrary to popular belief, Iran is a safe country, both in the cities and in the mountains.
